From Nights People

Potenza, a city of ancient origins, is the highest capital of an Italian region with its 819 meters of altitude; it rises along an Apennine ridge on the north of the Lucan Dolomites.
It boasts pre-Roman origins and its history is enclosed in the ancient city heart that still retains the remains of the medieval entrance walls and gates. The squares, the cathedral and the numerous churches, the noble palaces, the libraries, the ruins of an imperial Roman villa, the Guevara tower and the archaeological museums gather testimonies of people and cultures that have lived here over the centuries.
The entrance door to the capital of Basilicata is the Ponte Musmeci, which in 2003 was declared a monument of cultural interest by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and is now preparing to become a World Heritage Site.
Within this frame stands Il Volto Hostel which has private rooms with ensuite facilities and common rooms with shared facilities (accessible to disabled guests) and offers solutions suitable for all needs and for people of all ages, gender and nationalities.
Free parking, wi-fi access, TV room and reading room with books and travel information are available free of charge. Towels are provided for each guest.
The property does not have a restaurant or kitchen but in the refectory room you can eat the meals or food you bring with you.
