From Nights People

At the bottom of the homonym mountain, Cetona has an ancient history that more of all in the medieval era left behind suggestive remains and interesting city plan.
Going up for the small spiral streets, from Piazza Garibaldi in the Rocca direction, with a regular distance, in opens spaces from where you can admire the Cetona mountain, populated since the paleolithic (the Ciivic Museum for the Prehistory of the Cetona Mountain, located in Palazzo Comunale, evidence the phases of the popolation from the paleolithic to the bronze era), the typical hills of the Tuscan landscape are covered from olive groves, vineyards, cypress trees, the profile of the turreted city of Pieve and, behind, the chain of the Apennini. Cetona is located halfway between Florence and Rome, near the Autostrada del Sole and the Chiusi railway station, so, by car or by public transport, in a short time you can reach Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto and many other places of great historical-artistic interest.
