Rossano, famous for its famous Byzantine churches, is an ancient historic town with plenty of artistic and cultural evidences; the center is also known as Rossano la Bizantina or Rossano, the city of Codex, in honor of the Code Purpureo, one of the oldest gospels in the world, that was treasured for centuries at the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, listed as "Memory of the World" by UNESCO .



By car:
Leaving A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway at Spezzano-Sibari exit, take the SS 534 route and then the SS.106 (E 90) route towards Rossano.
You have several options to reach Rossano by train:
If you come from the North of Italy there is a train from Milan to Bari which stops at Rossano
If you come from Genova take the train from Genoa to Salerno and get off at Paola train stop
If you come from the South of Italy take the train from Reggio Calabria to Rome and get off at Catanzaro Lido train stop.
